Italy Youth Safeguarding: 300 Volunteers Deliver 500,000 “Truth About Drugs” Booklets

MILAN, Italy — 12 February 2026 — Some 300 volunteers have been mobilised since January across Italy to support a drug-prevention information drive, circulating information resources titled “Truth About Drugs”. The organisers state that the distribution has already surpassed 500,000 booklets, with Milan leading the effort and other cities increasingly involved.

The European Office of the Church of Scientology is among those supporting the campaign within its broader support for drug education and prevention initiatives inspired by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard. The materials aim eu news to provide clear, accessible information about commonly abused substances and their risks.

The organisers further point to sports-community involvement. They say 100+ athletes associated with Milano Cortina 2026 have added their names to the Foundation for a Drug-Free World Honorary Register, supporting drug-prevention awareness for youth. Organisers argue, sport offers a credible setting for prevention messaging because it is associated with health, focus and long-term wellbeing.

Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, the Council of Europe and the United Nations, noted: “Across Europe, youth safeguarding is both a public-health goal and a civic responsibility. Providing verified, understandable information strengthens autonomy and informed choice, and it helps communities reduce the social space in which criminal networks operate.”
